It has been ten years since Tzu Chi collaborated with Salvation Army to service the homeless people with freshly cooked meals. Salvation Army highly recognizes Tzu Chi's efforts because it is the only charity organization that provides "four-in-one" services: procurement, cooking, serving, and relief. To recognize Tzu Chi's services, Salvation Army presented a Certificate of Appreciation.

According to Salvation Army spokesperson Mr. Fame, Tzu Chi is one of the most special charity organizations in that the volunteers are always willing to help.  The Chinese vegetarian food they prepare is delicious and very well liked by the people. Tzu Chi is also the only organization that has the most volunteers in the kitchen when preparing food. The homeless people are all aware of the charities that came, and Tzu Chi attracts the most number of recipients.
